We are seeking an experienced Certified Trainer to support our service and construction teams by delivering high-quality technical training across petroleum systems and equipment. This role is critical to maintaining safety, consistency, and technical excellence across our field operations.
The pay range starts at $30-$40/hr depending on experience and includes benefits, we are willing to train and there is a path for growth.
Your Mission:
As a Certified Trainer, you will develop, deliver, and maintain training programs for technicians and field personnel working on petroleum service systems. You will ensure teams are properly certified, up to date on manufacturer standards, and compliant with all safety and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and conduct technical training for petroleum service technicians, installers, and supervisors
Deliver manufacturer-authorized training for fuel dispensing systems, controls, and monitoring equipment
Maintain training programs aligned with manufacturer standards, regulatory requirements, and company SOPs
Train personnel on installation, service, troubleshooting, and maintenance of petroleum equipment
Lead classroom, hands-on, and field-based training sessions
Track technician certifications, training records, and renewal requirements
Ensure compliance with safety standards including OSHA, NFPA, EPA, and hazardous location requirements
Support onboarding and ongoing skills development for new and existing technicians
Assist with standardization of procedures, documentation, and best practices across branches
Stay current on new technologies, equipment updates, and industry regulations
Collaborate with Service Managers, Project Managers, and leadership to identify training needs and skill gaps
Represent the company during manufacturer audits, certification programs, and industry training events
What You Bring to the Table:
Active Gilbarco Certifications (required)
Additional petroleum certifications preferred, such as:
Veeder-Root
Red Jacket / STP systems
Incon
OPW
Franklin Fueling
Extensive hands-on experience in petroleum service and construction environments
Proven experience training or mentoring technicians in field or classroom settings
Strong understanding of fuel dispensing systems, tank monitoring, piping, electrical controls, and POS integration
Knowledge of Class I, Division 1 & 2 hazardous locations and NEC requirements
Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to teach technical concepts clearly
Strong organizational skills for managing training schedules, documentation, and certifications
Comfortable working independently and traveling to multiple locations as needed
Ability to adapt training content to different experience levels and learning styles
Before You Leap:
Some positions require travel and overnight stays. Travel expenses will be covered by Nwestco, LLC
All job offers are contingent upon successful completion of the following:
Ability to pass pre-employment physical with extensive lifting (up to 75 lb), twisting, pulling, kneeling, and squatting.
Ability to pass pre-employment drug-screening and background check. This position is classified as safety-sensitive, it requires the applicant to pass a comprehensive drug test, including screening for marijuana, as a condition of employment.
A valid driver's license with a clean driving record over the past 5 years required.
